-The Hobbit will begin filming this June. The film is the prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy and will be released in two parts, the first in December 2011, and the second the following year. Peter Jackson is writing the script, and Guillermo del Toro will be directing. So far, Ian McKellan is the only cast member from the original films confirmed to reprise his role. It still remains to be seen if Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis will return. Read more at Screen Rant

-Jennifer Lopez told Latina Magazine that she thinks she should have won an Oscar for El Cantante. “I feel like I had that [Oscar worthy role] in El Cantante, but I don’t even think the academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.” She also wants one for her work in Gigli, Anaconda, and Maid in Manhattan.         -Taylor Lautner has become the highest paid teen star making 7.5 million to play opposite Tom Cruise in the film Northern Lights. Lautner is 17 years old. He will play a gifted pilot who faces off with his controlling, billionaire father. Controlling? Billionaire? Sounds like Tom isn't stretching to much with this role.














-Katy Perry and Russell Brand are engaged! Congrats to the strange happy couple.
